Beckett Lee Arnold

Beckett Lee Arnold was born on June 15, 2010 to Brian and Shelly Arnold. His big brother is Coleson. He looks nothing like this now that he is 9 months old. Auntie Arlene needs to take some new pictures of him!
We are so glad to have him as part of our family! Isn't he just so precious?

Not So Old...

I guess I'm not so old that I can't figure things out because look at this blog! I have updated pictures and changed the background! Wahoo!!!

Right now I am in Virgin UT on a 21-day "snow-bird" trial. Loreen and I are in our 5th-wheel in Southwest Utah determining whether or not we like to be away during the cold months in Salt Lake Valley. And the answer is "YES"!

We drove through an area today that took us on a different side of Zion National Park. The pictures above are some we took.

Catching Up!

May of 2010 brought retirement for me. I spent 33 years in the world of public education. My first 19 years were all spent at Pleasant Grove Junior High School in the Alpine School District. I began my career teaching physical education and health education. After 9 years, I spent 3 years working on a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science. I also changed positions at P.G. Junior and became the Library-Media Teacher, a position I held for 9 years. My last year was spent as a Teacher On Special Assignment in the position of assistant principal.

At the conclusion of my 19th year, I applied for and was hired as a UniServ Director for Eastern Utah UniServ in the Utah Education Association. Fourteen years later, I finally decided it was time to retire.

It's still difficult to believe that I have finished my career in education. Seems like only yesterday....

I Should Be Ashamed!

Well, 15 months since my last post. Stay tuned! I'll be updating the blog again as soon as I remember how!

We started a tradition when Hunter was about 6 or making cookies about a week before Christmas. The 5 great nephews and 2 of the great nieces came on December 18th for a "spendover" and to make our annual cookies! We all had a ball! As you can see, some of the younger kids lost interest and began wandering through the house! Oh Cole! The bathroom?

LillyAuna had her first dance recital on December 21st. She was SO adorable. I'll post some other dance pictures! Here she is doing fidgety feet!

This dance was a ballet and entitled "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas". Look at that face!
